Handcrafted in Egypt from our especially grown Luffa Aegyptiaca plant, our Root Vegetable Scrubbers are made from the thinner, tapered slice of loofah, selected for its aerated texture. They fit comfortably in the hand, and are designed to provide the right balance of softness and scrubbing power. As a totally natural product, each loofah pad is unique slice of loofah so sizes density may vary. We select our loofahs to do the job well!

How to use

When dry, the scrubber may feel abrasive, but when immersed in water, it swells slightly to become a soft, spongy, and flexible pad, ideal for cleaning vegetables. Use with water and apply gentle pressure to scrub the skin of root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, or turnips to remove soil and debris. After each use, rinse thoroughly, squeeze out excess water, and always dry out by hanging from the cotton string loop. To periodically wash & freshen your Root vegetable Scrubber, simply add to your laundry wash in the washing machine or soak in a cup of hot water and 1 tablespoon of baking soda for 15–20 minutes to deep clean and deodorise. Always air dry thoroughly and do not leave damp for extended periods.
